GPC, M.Ed., and GPA Approved Trainer

Scot Scala has been a grant professional since 1987. He holds a master’s degree in teaching, is Grant Professionals Certified [GPC], an Approved Trainer, and is an award-winning consultant. His efforts have helped organizations fulfill their missions through successful grant writing, grant training, and grant research.

Scot consistently engages himself with nonprofit organizations located throughout the United States, as well as those with international programs. Particularly meaningful to Scot is the pro-bono grant writing he provides in support of K-12 education and meal programs for St. Therese School in Haiti.

Scot is a sought-after national trainer who presents top-rated workshops to groups such as the Grant Professionals Association, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Soroptimist International of the Americas, Chambers of Commerce, and an array of nonprofit organizations. He is currently a national trainer for the Grant Professionals Association ‘Next Level’ Training Series.

In 2023, Scot was inducted into the Grant Professionals’ Class of Distinguished Fellows in recognition of his exceptional commitment as a grant professional and his outstanding achievements and enduring impact on the grants profession.

In his personal life, Scot is an avid cyclist and hiker. He enjoys traveling and spending time with close friends. Most of all, Scot is devoted to his family, his wife, Tracy, and their sons, Ryan and Evan.
